stardoc is written and maintained by Knut Urdalen. This work is inspired by the format and tools supported by the inventors of the STAR format Jim Arlow at Clear View Training.
stardoc makes use of the DOM and XSL extensions in PHP5.
Motivation
The motivation for writing stardoc in the first place was to have a simple tool for documenting use-cases.
Use-Case specifications is living documents and if they are not updated appropriately they wouldn't be useful as a basis for testing your product.
By maintaining your Use-Cases in the STAR format you have a very small and simple source of documentation without bothering about formatting the output.
